NYFW: Rodarte

Wood prints, porcelain, leafs and flowers; Rodarte is the perfect picture of nature in this collection. Known for their layered dresses and fantastic inspirations, the Mulleavy sisters have given us again that sense of rebirth with a mixture of melancholy that Spring is supposed to inspire. Even though it seems the collection is a reminiscence of autumn somehow, I’m pretty sure this is one of their best spring collections. The use of wood prints is perfectly balanced with the looks in gold and white, portraying panels of wood, crocodile skin-pattern and white and blue porcelain, and how to express the beauty of those dresses with embroidered leafs. The shoes cannot be an exception, they are as incredible as the overall collection; Nicholas Kirkwood was again the responsible of this unique creations complementing flawlessly that sense of nature. This is definitely one of the best runways of the New York Fashion Week and the Mulleavy sisters know well, we will be craving for more.
