Dance, Dance

Cause we love to watch models dance! Lanvin's video ad campaign for FW12 is out and it couldn't get any better than this. Raquel Zimmerman and Karen Elson dance to the rythm of Pitbull's I know you want me along with two male models and Mr. Alber Elbaz himself (he has the moves!). The video turned out to be extremely funnny and hilarious and if you get a little bit geeky you can even recognize the Dance Central coreography for Kinect XBox. Do you imagine Raquel and Karen watching the screen to get the moves right? Can it get any more bizarre? Of course, the images and the video are a delight, shot by Steven Meisel in a very sophisticated palette; the styling just makes us jealous that we don't dance that often (or never) in such glamourous fashion.

Talking about dancing...  of course this isn't the first ad campaign video where models get all fun and fussy with groovy moves.... how could we forget Prada's Ratatat video? A true hit of last season. I leave you the best dance ad campaigns in fashion to spice up your Monday. If you know more, post them in the comments section!

Bonus! Twiggy dancing... gro-vey

Cover Lust: September

Anne Hathaway by Mert & Marcus for Interview

Arizona Muse for Vogue Korea

Katie Fogarty by Kai Z. Feng for Vogue Australia

Kristen Stewart by Mert & Marcus for W

Charlotte Casiraghi by Mario Testino for Vogue Paris

Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Eva Herzigova for Vogue Spain’s

Florence Welch by Karl Lagerfeld for Vogue Japan
Shirley Mallmann by Miles Aldridge for Wallpaper

Gisele Bundchen by Emma Summerton for i-D

Elle Fanning by Mert & Marcus for LOVE

What can I say... Can I have them all? I'm pretty satisfied with this September's covers, specially the ones by Mert & Marcus... I mean Anne Hathaway? K-Stew unlike K-Stew? Lovely doe eyed- Elle Fanning? This are truly great covers, and that comes from someone who collects magazines (travelling with me can be your worst nightmare if I'm buying magazines, ask my boyfriend).  Some trends? Pastels, almost every cover has some light hues, either in makeup or lighting; opposite to that we have a black-and-white period, fashion & photography wise. Though this are my favorite, maybe Wallpaper's cover is the most intriguing with the characteristic palette of Miles Aldridge. Which one is your favorite?

BTW sorry I haven't posted on a regular basis but huge projects are in the way... expect lots of changes around here!

Ad-ictive: Giorgio Armani

Once again fantastic duo Mert & Marcus left me incredibly satisfied with this campaign. In a sleek fashion, Sasha Pivovarova stars in this campaign, an inmaculate business goddess. The light contrasts perfectly with each garment creating both dynamic and lustrous images. The makeup is quite perfect as well, red full lips and nude eyes, though I'm not a fan of bleached eyebrows (wouldn't suggest it all).

Contemporary Nuns

Freja Beha and Arizona Muse in Vogue UK, September 2011 by Mario Testino.
This is new... we haven't seen in a long time a editorial dedicated to "nuns" although the real theme is "old class"...   Anyway, our favorite duo looks astonishing in Givenchy, Vuitton, Valentino, Armani, etc. modeling in London streets and dark alleys.

Prada by Meisel

If you had any doubt Prada's collection for fall was beyond amazing, here is the video shot by Steven Meisel. Breathtaking.
