David Koma SS11
David Koma and Erdem have been two of my favorite shows this week. Both were inspired by the Russian ballet and its costumes, although Erdem resembles more of a garden party with all its romanticism. The A line dresses in both collections are the attractive, even though David Koma went for more volume, almost in a tutú-esque way. Erdem went for the floral prints, the lace and the sheer dresses while David Koma showed a more edgy and minimalist version of the sophisticated lady of the 21st century. Both can be described as the opposite sides of the same coin, but truth is, they are incredible collections for the prêt-à-porter.
