Vogue Shopping Experience

Vogue Shopping Experience was a kind of Fashion’s Night Out organized by Vogue Mexico, with the sole purpose of promoting fashion in Mexico, specially in Masaryk Avenue. Stores such as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Tiffany & Co, and more, took part in this event.

At Gucci

Being compared with Fashion’s Night Out, specially this year’s, was a difficult standard for our Vogue Shopping Experience to reach. All the attendees were expecting glamour, fashion, cocktails and fun. Basically, that was achieved but more than one person went home disappointed.

Although the organization was  good, the promotion of Vogue Shopping Experience as well as the special events in each store were kept pretty simple. Cocktails and snacks  were the rigorous in each one. Some of them tried to include the consumer with their own products, like Hermès, which held a brief course of how to style your scarf. The Vogue Passport was a nice touch, even an innovative one, but was quickly out-shined by the lack of creativity in the rest of the event. Even the allowance to take photographs was restricted, which only made more difficult to spread the word and support this event.

Maybe next year we will find a more concrete image of the event, more people in the streets, and more atractive events in each store. The important is that this doesn’t remain in a single effort, and that Vogue Mexico continues to organize, promote and improve this type of events; I’m certainly hoping for Vogue Shopping Experience to be way much better next year.

Opening Saks Fifth Avenue Polanco

Photos by Karla Agis

Yesterday was the Opening of Saks Fifth Avenue in Polanco. The store is lovely! You can find from Proenza Schouler to Balmain, and I was pretty exited with Opening Ceremony and Marchesa. The opening was full of stylish people, incredible shoes and friends. My favorite things were without doubt the Versace electric collection, Proenza Shouler and those Kirkwood heels. I’m definitely going for bankruptcy.

Corredor Condesa Roma

Sicario, Rosetta, Goodbye Folk, Neon Delirium, etc.

On Saturday I went to the Corredor Condesa-Roma, an event which intends to promote the area by opening the doors of art galleries, restaurants, and fashion boutiques and make the experience of it special. I enjoyed it a lot, photographing very stylish people, visiting stores like Sicario, Goodbye Folk, Vintage Hoe, etc. and having a great time with my friends and colleagues. If you ever visit Mexico City in August you need to come to Corredor Condesa Roma, you’ll find incredible things and have the best time.

Mr. Perra 2

Neon Delirium wearing a Te Amo Vintage Pearl Shirt

Me, wearing a sequined leopard print dress, black studded belt, spiked bracelet and beige gladiator wedges (can’t stop wearing them).

Armando, wearing a black outfit with his leather asymmetrical vest, and a pair of Dr. Martens

Fer, love the denim shorts with the stockings and army boots.

Mr. Perra is a set of parties in Mexico City for the fashion, the freak and the outstanding. They are located in Club Social Fray Bernardino, a place that feels adequate for the mixture of fashion and music. I went to Mr. Perra 2, and I loved it, lots of fashion people, hundreds of styles, electro funk music and visuals from Natural Born Killers (favorite movie!). This time the music was in charge of the amazing Zemmoa along with Rafa, one of the designers from Te Amo, and Martin Cuevas. I had the best time ever; here are some photographs of the party that I took. I am looking forward for the next Mr. Perra party, can’t hardly wait!

Adidas Originals Party

Last Friday Chava (from NeonDelirium) and I were invited to the Originals party by Adidas. It was more of a cocktail party, quite colorful, lots of street art and with the presence of one of my favorite party photographers Mark, TheCobraSnake (you can check some of his pictures of the party here). We had a good time although we would have loved it to be at night, but it was cool… anyway here are the photographs I took…
